Bole Airport transfer

How it works

1. Send us your flight number on WhatsApp with your name and hotel or address.
2. We track your flight. If you land early or late, your driver adjusts. No extra charge for normal delays.
3. Meet at arrivals. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with an A1 name board showing your name.
4. Pay on arrival in USD, birr or by card, or pay a deposit online beforehand.

What is included

• Any available vehicle from our fleet: compact, sedan, SUV or Hiace van. Tell us how many people and bags.
• A professional, English- and Amharic-speaking driver.
• Up to 60 minutes of waiting after your flight lands.
• Drop-off anywhere within 10 km of the airport, which covers Bole, Kazanchis, Megenagna, Gerji, CMC, Old Airport and most of central Addis.

Destinations further than 10 km, or trips that continue out of the city, are quoted per journey; just tell us where you are going.

Renting a car at Bole Airport

Prefer to drive yourself from the airport? We can deliver a rental car to the terminal and complete the handover in the car park. Bring your driving licence and passport; the refundable deposit is settled on the spot. Alternatively, let our driver take you to your hotel today and bring the car to you tomorrow once you have rested.

Useful airport tips

• Immigration queues are longest in the early morning when several long-haul flights land together. Allow 45 to 90 minutes.
• Buy a SIM card and change a small amount of money inside the terminal; both are quick and reasonably priced.
• Departures: arrive three hours before international flights. Security at the terminal entrance adds time.
• The airport is at 2,300 metres. If you feel light-headed, it is the altitude, not the flight.
